Michael Wallner (http://pear.php.net/user/mike) has voted +1 on the proposal for Database::DB_Table. Proposal information: http://pear.php.net/pepr/pepr-proposal-show.php?id=14 Vote information: http://pear.php.net/pepr/pepr-vote-show.php?id=14&handle=mikeThe proposal links to version 0.16 alpha. However, I have packaged and released 0.16.1 alpha to correct some parsing errors and update the inline comment blocks. The package and documentation are at:

http://wiki.ciaweb.net/yawiki/index.php?wiki=DB_TableThe online source code viewer is still set at 0.16, but I will change that soon. For those of you not familiar with the proposal, DB_Table is a wrapper for DB that will ... - automatically create your table for you in MySQL, MS-SQL, FrontBase, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQLite - automatically create an HTML_QuickForm for you based on your table definition - automatically validate input and update fields based on your table definition - provide a form of data-type abstraction for date, time, and timestamp (as well as strings and numbers) - let you pre-build SQL queries and then filter/order/limit them as needed, with ties to getAll(), getRow(), etc. - much more! If you think this might be a useful tool, please take a look, and then vote +1. Thanks. :-) -- Paul M. Jones Savant: the simple alternative to Smarty. http://phpsavant.com/
