Hi,
Sorry for responding to my own eMail.
I was wrong APC was not compiling for PHP 5.0.0.RC2.
Whenever I installed the APC with php5.0.0 RC2 my environment had 4.3.3
cli in the path ahead of 5.0.0RC2 that is why It was compiling.
Actually I have 3 php installations.
PHP 4.3.2 - apc compiles and works fine (atleast extension_loaded('apc')
returns true)
PHP 4.3.3 - apc compiles and works fine (atleast extension_loaded('apc')
returns true)
PHP 5.0.0.RC1 - I am getting the following error.
gcc -I. -I/home/kameshj/apc/apcfrompear/APC-2.0.3forroot/APC-2.0.3
-DPHP_ATOM_INC
-I/home/kameshj/apc/apcfrompear/APC-2.0.3forroot/APC-2.0.3/include
-I/home/kameshj/apc/apcfrompear/APC-2.0.3forroot/APC-2.0.3/main
-I/home/kameshj/apc/apcfrompear/APC-2.0.3forroot/APC-2.0.3
-I/usr/local/include/php -I/usr/local/include/php/main
-I/usr/local/include/php/Zend -I/usr/local/include/php/TSRM
-DHAVE_CONFIG_H -g -O2 -c
/home/kameshj/apc/apcfrompear/APC-2.0.3forroot/APC-2.0.3/apc_cache.c
-fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/apc_cache.o
/home/kameshj/apc/apcfrompear/APC-2.0.3forroot/APC-2.0.3/apc_cache.c: In
function `prevent_garbage_collection':
/home/kameshj/apc/apcfrompear/APC-2.0.3forroot/APC-2.0.3/apc_cache.c:176: error: subscripted value
is neither array nor pointer
Should the package.xml of APC not mention about the dependency with PHP
cli < 4.3.2 as they state in the website.
Any clues.
Thanks in advance
With regards
