Just today I've had time to look at your code. Most of the vector code there is already in Math_Vector. It might be a better approach to add your extra methods to either Math_VectorOp, or you can just use Math_Vector instead of re-implementing in your code. The second approach might be better, as there are many more interesting analytical geometry methods/algorithms that deal with general n-dimensional vectors, and some nice ones that are specialized for 3D vectors. Check Math_Vector (deals w/ 2D, 3D and n-D vectors), as well as the geometry section of MathWorld (http://mathworld.wolfram.com/topics/Geometry.html) and similar. Cheers. --- Florent Monnier <fmonnier@linux-nantes.fr.eu.org> wrote: > Hi all there :)It > Just some quite simple functions rewrote from math analytical geometry > formuleas: > http://grincheux.codelutin.org/~monnier/Geometry.html > > Would you think it would have its place in Pear? > > If yes, perhaps its name could be "Math_Geometry_3D" > (3D is shorter than 'Analytical' and with computers, geometry is always > analytical, moreover analytical geometry could also be 2D) > > There are only 2/3 functions really interesting, which are at the end. > [Finding the angle between 2 adjacent facets in a 3D modeling] > There should also be functions for translation, homotety, rotation, etc, > but I didn't had any need for those yet, so... > (lol those formuleas correspond only to the first 3 pages of the analytical > geometry book I have) > > > ++Cheers > > -- > PEAR Development Mailing List (http://pear.php.net/) > To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php > ===== -- Jesus M.
