I don't see the aspect of having interfaces for similar classes. The
interface classes can be included inside the package. This would allow to
have different versions of an interface in place (if sometimes necessary).

Since PHP5 supports interfaces one should mak use of that. Of course,
interfaces are only feasible for PHP5 only packages. So, we have enough time
to define them.
