Today on my way to completed tests under PHP 5.0.0RC2
for my package HTML_Progress (version 1.2.0), i've discovered :
1. * HTML_Progress 1.2.0 is PHP 5 compatible (good new)
2. * HTML_Progress (all versions) is not CGI server API compatible.
So i decided to add a dependency on my package, generated by PEAR
PackageFileManager
All run fine on package generation, but when i tried to test it
line below
<dep type="sapi" rel="ne" version="cgi"
optional="no">server API</dep>
was checked by PEAR::Dependency checkSAPI() method and returns a value such
as :
'cli' SAPI backend not supported
It's normal because, i've launch this
pear upgrade HTML_Progress-1.2.0.tgz
from command line
My question NOW :
How may i verify that the web server is not in CGI interface, because the
dependency
give a unexpected result in such situation ?
