Oh, and since I'm thinking about it now, here's some more thoughts.
The groupname for these should be in the config. Perhaps 'title'? If not given, the table name?
The name of the group in the quickform should be the crosslink table name. Also, this code should sit up in the element loop so that preDefOrder and fieldsToRender (and possibly preDefElements) could be used with it. As it is now, there is no way of removing the element except for removing the autoCrossLinks entry.
