Hi,
Why not raise a PEAR Error? Then the users can handle them however they want?Because the package name is PHP_Compat. The package is used, whenever you have some code that relies on a PHP feature that has been introduced in a later version than the one available on the server. The function *have* to behave exactly like the built-in PHP functions, otherwise they are useless. Stephan
