Hi All,
I have an issue with a db connection the function for managing connect is
function connect()
{
// connect to the database
$status = $this->dbh = DB::connect($this->db_url);
if (DB::isError($status))
{
$this->connected = FALSE;
$this->error = $status->getMessage();
echo 'Standard Message: ' . $this->error . "<br>";
} else {
$this->connected = TRUE;
}
return $this->connected;
}
Now, I pass the connection string in the form 'mysql://user:pass@localhost/database' and
get the error 'DB Error: not found'. I know its not the connection string that's at
fault, because I can connect using the standard MySQL functions in PHP with those db credentials...
Also, I know the function works fine, because I have the whole site up and running on another apache
server and a Windows 2003 server...
Anyone know what might be causing this?
Thanks,
Lee
