And the link probably should be:
http://www.chiaraquartet.net/PEAR-1.4.0dev3.tgz
Anyway, does anyone on the list info on how the new package.xml
with channels should look like. Running the following script:
-cut-
<?php
require_once 'PEAR/Common.php';
require_once 'PEAR/PackageFile.php';
$pc = new PEAR_PackageFile;
$err = $pc->fromPackageFile('package.xml');
if (PEAR::isError($err)) {
die($err->getMessage());
}
foreach ($pc->getErrors(true) as $error) {
echo ucfirst($error['level']) . ': ' . $error['message'] .
"\n";
}
if (!$err) {
die('Validation failed');
}
$pc->setPackagexmlVersion('1.1');
print $pc->toXML();
?>
-cut-
in some packagefiles taken from pear gives me:
-cut-
Error: No version number found in <package> tag
-cut-
and with some others from pear it wont give anything. If I
print_r($pc) i will see:
-cut-
[message] => Unknown channel, "pear"
-cut-
in errorstack. This happens before and after I manually add pear
channel using the following xml:
-cut-
<channel version="1.0">
<name>pear</name>
<summary>PHP Extension and Application Repository</summary>
<server>pear.php.net</server>
<provides>
<protocol type="xml-rpc" version="1.0">logintest</protocol>
<protocol type="xml-rpc"
version="1.0">package.listLatestReleases</protocol>
<protocol type="xml-rpc" version="1.0">package.listAll</protocol>
<protocol type="xml-rpc" version="1.0">package.info</protocol>
<protocol type="download" version="1.0">get</protocol>
</provides>
</channel>
-cut-
