1) PEAR Website mediation
We helped mediate with some internal management issues inside the PEAR Website team.
2) email troubles
Through the month the group was difficult to reach due to severe problems in the email server at php.net, which have now been solved.
3) meeting results
We discussed the meeting results. Notably we discussed the fate of Tomas within the group as well as the problem of trust within pear-dev in relation to the pear-group and how to overcome this.
4) getting access to cvs.php.net
We discussed problems in regards to the fact that the PEAR Group is
currently not able to give developers CVS commit karma on the PHP CVS
server.
5) lead assignments
In the absence of a formal QA team we made the following assignments:
XML_Tree - lead assignment to Davey Shafik (davey)
Image_Color- lead assignment to Sebastian Bergmann (sebastian)
HTTP_Upload - lead assignment to Christian Wenz (wenz)
XML_DTD - lead assignment to Stephan Schmith (schst)
DB_Pager - lead assignment to Lorenzo Alberton (quipo)
6) pear sponsoring
There were requests (forwarded from PEAR's web masters) from external
groups/companies wanting to put advertisement or be "sponsors" for
PEAR's web site. The advertisement proposals are declined because
it will conflict with (a) the php.net hosting arrangements, and (b)
the focus of PEAR as a non-commercial and unbiased project in the community.
More information was requested from the sponsoring proposal, but we
never received a reply in this matter.
7) removing stale pepr accounts
We had a discussion on how to handle stale pepr accounts and the possibility of discussing a general way to weed out inactive accounts in general. We plan on discussing this in the pear-dev list once some preliminary rules/cases have been described.
