Hi!
As promised, but a little late I propose a content for the Flyer. I hope it
will not be to late, if we agree on a flyer until Wendsday.
--- Frontside ---
- Divided diagonal in the colors of PEAR and PECL (green & blue).
- Both project names very big in it's specific corner + URL below that, both
white.
- In the center textual information on both projects together:
<snip>
<b>Why to reinvent the wheel every time?</b>

more comfortable and secure. With over 600 maintainers from all over the
world maintaining more than 250 class packages and PHP extensions PEAR/PECL

and flexabillity of code reviewed by hundereds of professional PHP
developers and gain the value of a stable and proofen packaging system.
</snip>
I hope that's not too long and that someone will correct my (as usual) not
so good English.
--- Backside ---
- Maybe also in blue/green.
- Providing either
- A little FAQ like this:

Beside a well maintained and QAed collection of extentions to your PHP
installation the projects offer a common and stable packaging system for PHP
components, the PEAR installer.

Since PHP 4.3.0 the pEAR/PECL infrastructure is shipped with PHP. For
earlier versions you can simply install the installer from
http://go-pear.org
Where do I find the packages?
http://pecl.php.net/packages.php
http://pear.php.net/packages.php
Where can I get help?
You will find variouse sources of support (tutorials, talsk,
mailinglists,...) under the following URLs:
http://pecl.php.net/support.php
http://pear.php.net/support.php
How can I contribute to PEAR/PECL?
There are several way's you can support the 2 projects. Even beside directly
contributing your classes / extensions, we are always thankful for help in
the areas of documentation, testing, bug reporting and fixing and many more.
Simply offer your help on:
pecl-dev@lists.php.net or
pear-dev@lists.php.net
</snip>
Does that make sense? Any further suggestions? Objections? Ideas?
I would really much like to get that ready by tomorrow (if anyone with
design knowledge is fast enough to make some drafts) to get it printed by
time.
Regards,
Toby
