Seems to become a new trend to write PEAR/PECL news. You're the third site
AFAIK, beside the Zend weekly news and the "of pears and pecls" weblog,
which does a similar job on an irregular basis...
I think Aaron **is** "of pears and pickles". :-)
Yes, guilty as charged :)
of Pears and Pickles, was just put up to be my "notepad" which I would maintain during the week and then complile the highlights into the column.
As soon as I started putting content up, it got picked up by several other php news sites including phparch.com, phpmag.net, php-planet.net. Anyway, I'm currently working on creating a couple of scripts to automate some of the grunt work involved with keeping up the package release news, so that I can put my time into coming up with original content.
When I'm done I'll have rss feeds for all the categories, so if you're only interested in stable PEAR releases, you'll be able to get an rss feed for that. Or if you're only interested in the opinion peices...
I do think there is a genuine need for PHP news.
