I didn't take it as a competition :)
ErrorStack is forward compatible with php5. Haven't test it yet but it is designed that way
(from what I've read from Greg's posts).

I prefer the way it manages the stack independently from returns. for example if a method is
supposed to return a boolean I prefer to keep it that way instead of returning a PEAR_Error.
It will be faster because it doesn't instantiate a class.
Greg would surely talk about it better than me since my experience with errostack is both recent and
limited.
