Stefan Neufeind (http://pear.php.net/user/neufeind) has commented on the proposal for Mail::Mail_UU. Comment: Maybe it could be added to one of the existing Mail-packages? Afaik there is already Base64 in it for attachment-handling. Or maybe it might be useful to have a general encode/decode-lib to support various encodings (like Base64, UUE, XXE or others like ROT13 etc.)?
