Of course, more validations and prechecks will be avaible within channels, we're depreciating now the current validation code.
But what would prevent us from adding things like this to the upload-validation on pear-web as well? I'm not talking about the installer / packager, since people might possibly not be using the latest bleeding-edge-packager. Stefan
