Hi,
As per Lukas' suggestion, I'd like to create an RFC for exception use guidelines (for PHP5-only package developers). Perhaps it could be more broad and also address the warnings/notices issue (I still think PEAR_ErrorStack is a perfect solution for that). Rather than proposing an RFC using PEPr and using comments as the medium for discussion & revision, I'd be very interseted in doing it in a more collaborative way using a wiki. The end result could be proposed via PEPr, of course.
It seems that PEAR doesn't yet have a wiki. Does anyone (Paul?) have a PEAR-friendly Wiki from which they could donate a public page for an Exception Guidelines RFC?
I have a couple, but I think it might rub people the wrong way to have a PEAR Exception Guidelines RFC on a Propel or Phing wiki ;) If no one has one, I'll set something up, though.
Hans
