Hi,
i propose a small improvement for PEAR::Auth. How about a function like
Auth->setShowlogin ( $show = true );
that allows to disable the automatic display of the login page. There
are cases when you don't want a login screen everytime a user hasn't
logged in. Think about a portal site, where you have a small "You are
not logged in / logged in as .." on top. The user should be able to
access the site no matter if he has logged in yet or not. Just some
parts of the page may be unaccessable later.
I've solved this problem now by implementing my own login function where
i check some global vars, but an explicit function for this would be
cleaner i think.
It might also be useful if the constructor accepted a fourth parameter
to set the default in an auto_prepend.php:
Auth($storageDriver = "DB", $options = "",
$loginFunction = "", $showLogin = true )
Then you could turn on/off the login form display for every page.
Martin?
bye
michael
