Hello Alan, I would like to know if you plan to import your HTML_FlexyFramework in pear ?
Thats the $1,000,000 question. I have learned to be causious about contributing too much (I have enough trouble keeping up with bug reports and features on my existing packages)
Oh God isn't that the truth. I need to learn to keep my stuff to myself and my sig line shorter. ;-)
It would be nice to propose it, (hint to paul Yawp may be better as HTML_YawpFramework)
I though frameworks (per se) were non-grata in PEAR? I'd like to see some (there's Flexy and Seagull, and of course Horde but they have their own playground :-) ... but the PEAR non-compete clause kind of gets in the way. Strictly speaking, I'm not sure Yawp is a framework; it's just one class to glue together the PEAR packages I use most often and automate some tedious stuff. But it's close enough for our purposes here. Frankly, the idea of making static calls to "HTML_YawpFramework::methodName()" all the time instead of just "Yawp::methodName()" is enough to give me twitchy eyes. :-) Channels will solve the problem of frameworks, insh'allah. Channels will solve everything. (And BTW, we're not paying Greg Beaver anywhere near enough, either in speech or in beer. Hey Greg, you're awesome, great work dude! :-) -- Paul M.
