Stephan Schmidt (http://pear.php.net/user/schst) has voted 0 on the proposal for RFC::Error Handling Guidelines for PHP5 packages. Proposal information: http://pear.php.net/pepr/pepr-proposal-show.php?id=132 Vote information: http://pear.php.net/pepr/pepr-vote-show.php?id=132&handle=schst Comment: Personally I'd like to use Exceptions in my packages, but I think, it might be too early to force this onto all PHP5 packages. This could lead to a mess similar to the one with the PEAR baseclass and errorhandling.Non-standardization may create the same kind of mess, while this RFC is very light. It defines just the most clear stuff -- even if it spawned havoc in the mailing list :-/ I think the RFC creates a nice middle-ground. But then again, I'm suspect :-) Cheers, Sérgio
