I think 'I' could be classed as an abreviation :) There are alot of things that are shorter/simpler, but longer clearer always helps when you share code alot.... But I think that the 'I' prefix is well known. At least as well known as the meaning of a method called 'singleton'. Thanks to C# and the other languages (?) that have made that a standard. I'm definitely +1 for 'I' prefix. Or at worst 'Iface' suffix (MyClassIface).
