"Merging" Image_Graph and Image_Graphite into new Image_Graph-package

Dear PEARs, now that there has been some private discussion about Image_Graphite and how a cooperation with Image_Graph would be possible, I herewith announce our plan. Jesper highlighted that Image_Graph has some nice features currently missing but possible to implement in Image_Graphite. On the other hand I see that Image_Graphite already offers a lot of functions not yet present in Image_Graph ... and it would take quite a while and some double-work to implement it. So we decided create some kind of "merger". More clearly, the new Image_Graph-package will be based on the Image_Graphite-sources and we'll try to add some functions from Image_Graph soon. This is the most logical solution, and I bet everyone is fine with it. Merging the packages allows us to pool resources and to co-work on one package, that has the strength and man-power to become really cool. Currently we're having a closer look at the package- and API-design, possible extensions etc. and preparing for a new release. But I expect it to take a few more weeks ... stay tuned!
