PEAR::Message does Hash and HMAC calculations (RFCs 2104 and 2202), not the
chaining block cipher (CBC) that CPAN's HCE_MD5 performs. The package
mentioned above was based on that CPAN module IIRC. The HCE_MD5 method works
along the lines of HMAC, but it is not the same, it says to be similar to what
Radius does (http://search.cpan.org/src/EESTABROO/Crypt-HCE_MD5-0.70/README)
Of the PEAR packages Crypt_HMAC is to Message, as Cache_Lite is to Cache, or
something along those lines.
