Olivier Guilyardi (http://pear.php.net/user/olivierg) has commented on the proposal for Yawp::Yawp2.
Comment:
I do like the idea of a unique file for configuring several PEAR
components, as you do with DB, Log, Auth... Couldn't this nice feature fit
into the Configuration category ?
But encapsulating PEAR packages into such methods as Yawp::timerMark,
etc... isn't useful to me, and may increase the learning curve with no
reason, for people who already know Benchmark.
I believe that, today, PEAR needs better coupling between packages. But,
in my own opinion, this shouldn't be achieved by one more layer on the top
of PEAR, with plugins, etc...
About the presentation : please show some richer examples of Yawp2 usage.
On the web site, I only found minimalistic ones.
