Hey Lukas:
lets just expect both errors ... $this->manager->db->expectError(array(MDB2_ERROR_NOSUCHTABLE, MDB2_ERROR_CANNOT_DROP));
That's what my question was about during the session. Got involved fixing other things subsequently. I'll change this. I'm about to commit some changes that deal with the fact that mssql defaults to having a NOT NULL constraint on each column. It made the MDB2 tests fail. Doing so, I noticed the following issue... I'm wondering if you intentionally are having mssql use CHAR for the date, time and datetime declaration methods. Perhaps because of SQL Server's limited date range.
assume that there is no reason beyond that metabase was doing it that way. generally if you feel something is not using the proper datatypes its usually due to the fact that there was some older version of the given rdbms that didnt support the more advanced datatypes. however in mdb2 i have added the ability to have different versions of each of the modules as needed. so we can actually use all the power of the current rdbms versions and if needed provide alternative versions for older rdbms versions. check out the loadModule() method in the MDB2_Driver_Common class. regards, Lukas
