It's under development :-). Nah.. see below.

The thing that will show what packages are avaible in PEAR and where to
download them is the pear web (http://pear.php.net). It's almost
finished but still need a little more job. Stig is working a lot now on
it.

Good, please go ahead. Martin set up a DocBook Pear Manual avaible from
his hard disk (mail@martin-jansen.de). I hope that some day the sources
would be avaible somewhere in the CVS.

If don't understand what certain classes do and want to get info from
the developers, my recommendation is to email the author and CC your
mail to pear-dev@lists.php.net. If you don't get feedback resend the
email every 5 minutes, doc is important :-)

DocBook is the prefered format. The best resource to get introduced in
the documentation of PHP with DocBook you can find in:
http://cvs.php.net/co.php/phpdoc/howto/howto.html.tar.gz?r=1.10&p=1

Today in the morning the PEAR DB tutorial authors and the translators
(actually french, italian, russian, spanish, german and english) started
the task of porting the tutorial to DocBook and provide a centralized
well done doc for PEAR DB. If others want to help here please write me.
