Hi Greg,
As the installed package 'Net_Monitor' was an alpha 0.0.8,
I tried to install the new beta 0.1.0:
# pear -d preferred_state=beta install Net_Monitor
Package 'Net_Monitor' already installed, skipping
Why so much hate ?
I was saying I prefer beta
Anyway an alpha is so named because it solves lot of stuff (without BBC)
Don't understand why we need to force in this case, alpha to beta is a true upgrade !
# pear -d preferred_state=beta install -f Net_Monitor
downloading Net_Monitor-0.1.0.tgz ...
Starting to download Net_Monitor-0.1.0.tgz (11,222 bytes)
.....done: 11,222 bytes
install ok: Net_Monitor 0.1.0
I can fill a feature request if you mean it's usefull.
