blog about channels

Hi all, I've blogged again, this time about channels from the user perspective [1]. All of this blogging is in preparation for both the release of PEAR 1.4.0a1, and the writing of good documentation. I don't want to release PEAR 1.4.0a1 until I'm sure that all obvious design flaws have been killed. Good documentation can only be written if I am kicked out of my safety zone with assumptions and write from the perspective of you, the users/devs of PEAR. Channels, being older than post-install scripts, have all security issues I can think of taken care of, but it's always good to get outside input.
