A new status field will be added on pearweb. This field will contain one of these: - Active - Orphaned - DeprecatedI agree on the status list. I did not add it to this RFC though since I think it is better handled separatly.
If a package is orphaned, a warning and a call for maintainers will be displayed.Added to the proposal.
