Hi,
I've posted bug #3494, but this is now a "won't fix", which I disagree :
http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=3494
The problem is that when one use I18Nv2::createLocale(), the global locale
setting is altered, because this factory method calls setlocale(). This has
problematic side effects, like breaking a whole application, etc...
The point is that when I use an I18Nv2_Locale object, for example to format
a date, I expect it to format my date, not to change all dots do commas aside.
I know it may not be easy to write a workaround for that issue, but why
writing OO libraries if they don't properly encapsule their purpose ?
Regards,
