Hi, If existing releases have invalid characters (non-latin characters) in their maintainers names, PEAR 1.4.0a1 under PHP 5 *will not install them*.Where is the hook ? *under* PHP 5: do you mean it's working using PHP *<* 5 or not working *using* PHP5 ? Not joking, the sentance is not clear to me. Anyway, if the installer is able to break on it, why is it unable to protect himself ?
I am not only non-superhuman,Nor are devs, and see:
with the special characters either entitied or removed altogether. So, devs keep books open to retrieve the entities, or they should be superhuman :)
Please don't complain to me if you get a flood of bugs because people can't install your package if this is the reason. Then close the pipe ! I mean close the source of complaints Dunno how, sure proceeding should only happen in given places. I idiot think of htmlentities, but I don't understand the hook. I must say, that was not foreseen... and non-latin should live. ħøþ€ you don't see no attack here, more we want the pear installer :) þøø¶ english again :) Anyway, stay in bed, drink some grogs and kill your chill down ! à+ -- bertrand Gugger http://toggg.com/
