Problems upgrading Net_NNTP

I'm attempting to upgrade Net_NNTP and it's simply not upgrading. My
preferred state is alpha. This listing is with PEAR 1.4.0a2 which I
just installed, but the same thing happened with PEAR 1.3.0 and 1.3.5.
