this is serious, mind opening a bug?

However, we now know for certain that all of the packages above *will* install with PEAR 1.4.0a2 :) - Davey P.S. I have 2 pear channels listed in pear list-channels, but nothing in .registry for either of them that I can see, how do I remove one without breaking things? :)
look in .channels, perhaps there is both pear.reg and pear.php.net.reg? Greg
