Hi Daniel, sending this via the list cause others might want to jump in. Just stumbled over a NULL sorting issue and that reminded me that it might be a good idea to provide all the information you have collected about RDBMS quirks and what SQL Performancing Tuning and all sorts of other ressources have figure out as meta data. While writing this mail I was pondering if this shouldnt actually be an XML database which can be used by any project in any language. People could then extract information as needed. I know that the JDBC API provides some metadata as well, although its sometimes outdated and obviously this kind of stuff can always change in between versions etc. I dont know how they maintain the information they do have .. Now this could maybe be the start of a rather big project .. So who is interested? regards, Lukas
