Hi all,
I just read a message on php-internals that has a surprising solution to the problem of naming a release that breaks BC for a package that has a number in it, like Mail_IMAPv4.
What if we allowed roman numerals to be used as well as arabic numerals?
Net_POP3i
Net_POP3ii
Net_POP3iii
Net_POP3iv
etc.
Note: the reason I'm suggesting this here, is because I don't think it's ready for PEPr-izing, and if no one has opposition, it could easily be appended to the existing standard.
