Just to conclude the chat i've opened for the new implementation.
I've merged both solutions:
- dual multi-select (as first proposal, and as accepted by 9 votes)
- a single list with checkboxes (for browsers no js compliant or disabled)
I'll upload the new stuff (class, examples, tarball, ...) in the next 12 hours on my website.
I'm proud, and i can't realized i've not thought about this solution earlier.
BTW, i've also find a nice and very easy solution to fixe the problem with opera browser
You right Philippe when you wrote :
" I'm not that surprised since with the CSS "display: none;" the hidden element doesn't actually exist... One more reason for me not liking the hidden select "
Easy solution is to remove ' display: none; '
replace ' width: 0; height 0; ' by ' width: 1px; height: 0 ;'
the element exist for the browser (opera and others: i hope all) but is
still invisible to end-user.
