Ok so now we've talked about multiple proposal, but I really just want to focus on the code for now. Luca is your main problem that it runs slower (i think null encoding will take care of most of this) or the general usage. http://bluga.net/projects/HTML_AJAX/test_inline.phps should be the closest model to your usage, i think you can also just write the callback as a hash instead of class but i prefer that syntax since its more reusable. Do you see objects in JavaScript as a non starter (ie we have to have a non object proxy mode) or is there some other argument im missing. Also I will be adding a method to do proxyless operation HTML_AJAX_Call(url,class,method,callback (or false for sync operation), arg1,arg2); Sergio do you see any problems with my responses that everything you want should fit in the framework i've written (taking into account I don't actual have an example of different encoders yet). Also what is the proper way to manage JavaScripts libs, this is going to be an issue for any package. My current thought is too hide them behind a method call (which will return 304s as needed) or allow the user to copy them into there web root. My main concern is to get the best possible code, I think its possible to provide the simple fast operation that Luca wants in the same featureful codebase that I want, if i'm wrong there really should be 2 ajax code bases in pear but I hope that won't be needed. -josh
