Hi Joe and others, Sorry I didn't get back to you in more detail earlier, but I was offline most of the weekend. I currently have a mostly complete atom 1.0 implementation and had been planning to subsequently add more rules to handle the various RSS flavours. An earlier version of my code had a more generic parser, but I decided that there are sufficient differences in the various specs that it would be good to at least allow for specific parsers. I have put my current code up at: http://dev.jystewart.net/XML_Feed/ At present it is purely a parser. I had some initial discussion with the proposer of XML_Feed_Writer (if you review the discussion of that proposal you'll see I mention that I was working on this project) about either combining the two projects or providing some way of mapping between them. Increasingly I feel like two separate projects with a clear mapping would be the better option as including the writer in the same package would be unnecessary extra baggage for those of us who use other methods (eg. templates) to generate our feeds. For myself, I doubt I'd ever use a feed writer package as it seems an unnecessary layer of complexity when mostly I'm using the same data as I output to HTML using templates, but I do think it would be a good idea to have such a package for those who have different approaches to how they output their data. James.
