Using two different DB_DataObject configurations

Hi, I'm currently struggling with the problem of having to have to access two DataObjects which come from completely separate configurations. My research went as far that DB_DataObject is loading it's configuration from DB_DataObject::_loadConfig, but since this method is called statically in many places I cannot just extend DB_DataObject and provide a new implementation of _loadConnfig. The two DataObject configurations are in completely different directories and have different database users (with different permissions, etc.). They're at least accessing the same database. Any recommendations what can be done here? cheers, - Markus
