Hmm, not for me with pear 1.3.6 on Linux PHP 5.0RC1 - that's probably my problem..
which RC? 5.0.5RC1 or 5.1.0RC1
IIRC 5.1.0 has currently broken xml support? I used snapshot so I don't know if it was fixed in that version. I've gone back to 5.0.4 and upgraded Liveuser. Then I reinstalled the snapshot again. I guess I could uninstall LU, install an old version and try to upgrade again. Is that worth it or are you pretty sure the problem was with PHP's broken XML support?
Oh yeah, in the mean time I also upgraded PEAR to 1.4b - so I guess I can't really reproduce the sitution anymore unless I go back to PEAR 1.3.6 which I'd rather not.. Jeroen
