I have a feeling you haven't been following the pear-dev list much over
the past year, so I will bring you up to speed. :)
XML_RPC2 is what you're looking for, but it is actually easier than the
method you propose since it uses the reflection API to generate the
method list.
I've been silent for a long time about this, but it's time to lay out
fundamental truths:
1) XML_RPC2 is ready as a package
2) As the current lead of XML_RPC, Dan has no time to review it - he's
had approximately 10 months to do so, and there are many factors (no
fault of his own) that will continue to prevent this review.
3) Any further delay goes beyond unconscionable to criminal
Dan: could you do us a favor and either lay out basic design problems
that will make this package need a complete redesign, or say it is OK
except for minor issues? Minor issues can be easily fixed, and do not
justify further delay.
Thanks very much,
Greg
