I did post Request #5796. It was mentioned in a few other bug reports
that I mentioned at the top of mine.
Bug #4235 mentioned this, but didn't nail down what the bug or request
actually was. There is a reported fixed, but what was fixed?
(Sidenote, when there is a fix for bug can you please link to the cvs
or atleast mention the files and rev. number. Kinda hard to tell what
was changed without that info.)
Bug #5405 again mentioned but ended up being shifted to DataObject.
This was a made move since it suggested that the problem was with the
.ini file and could be fixed there. This isn't true and would break if
they tried to use tables with the same name in 2 or more schemas.
Bug #305 I probably should have reopened and posted under, but I
couldn't seem to find a way to reopen it since I wasn't the original
submitter.
The reason it got a "Wont fix" is it "can't be reliably instituted
across all of the supported DBMS's."
The fact that it can't be implemented across all other DBMS's seems
irrelevant to me since not all other DBMS's have Schema. The same
argument would be a reason to remove any support for Schemas in
DB/pgsql.
It may be a good idea to implement a getTables() function that would
use the best form of retrieving the list of tables for each DB. Maybe
I'm totally off, but I doubt DataObject (for example) should have to
do trial and error to find out how to pull an accurate list of tables
as it is now.
Adding support for the 'schema.name' form, IMHO, is neccesary since
the current form 'table' can return results that are inaccurate if
'schema' is just dropped.
