Some hours ago Rasmus released version 3.01 of the PHP License with
which the PHP Group addresses the recent concerns about using PHP
License 3.0 for PEAR/PECL packages brought up by Debian's license folks.
The wording of 3.01 can be found at
http://php.net/license/3_01.txt
and I suggest that all maintainers, who are displeased with version 3.0,
check if 3.01 works better for them.
If you have been in contact with Debian folks about this issue, it would
be nice if you informed them about the new license, too.
Yours,
- Martin
