Calm down. The "pear makerpm" command is and has been hopelessly broken
for years. Tim has provided knowledge and more importantly, patches to
fix this. To avoid the hassle of making him dive into the release
process, and to make it more flexible, a new subpackage is being created
that will add a new command to handle RPMs in a more flexible and
accurate manner. In addition, there is no BC break.
In short, it is an internal matter, like adding another Validate subpackage.
