Daniel Rossi (http://pear.php.net/user/electroteque) has commented on the proposal for HTTP::UploadManager. Comment: I actually built a subclass of HTTP_Upload a while ago for upload managing, it was similar to this ie for removing files, making directories etc, however it also had event dispatches for callbacks for adding to the database and resizing etc. FTP could also be a good idea.
