You can have all the information you need about Growl on the Growl site <http://growl.info> and on my package homepage <http://www.mamasam.com/projets/net_growl>. But as I said, there is nothing like Growl on Windows that I know of, and maybe libnotify on Gnome but it doesn't look good <http://blogs.gnome.org/view/rodrigo/2005/07/04/0>. So there is no point to bother about it if you can't use it. The situation used to be the other way round for Windows users and I am quite happy it's changing.
