HTML::Container.
Comment:
I really didn't know Structures_DataGrid package. I reviewed it these days
and looks very well. Indeed my package has many functionalities, very
similar to the ones of that package. But I see the goals of both packages
rather different:
- HTML_Container is intended (as its category sais) as a way to show and
manage data in HTML format. That's the reason why the 'actions' (when
embedding form elements) are one of the key features of this package.
Also is the feature to add a DataFilter, such as those of Excel.
And too the effect 'activeRow', that displays an additional row with
further info about the row that has been just clicked.
- Structures_DataGrid, as I understood, has its goal on the managment of
data, and so the HTML is only one of all the formats it handles.
In order to give DataGrid a form element, one has to make a callback that
returns that element. I think it's a little harder to just add an
'action'. Perhaps because the inclusion of form elements isn't a key
feature of this package.
By now, I've made HTML_Container able to manage paging. I'm going to
update the examples and the source code...
And I am thinking on making the columns sortable when clicked on its
titles. Perhaps would be nice too...
Thanks for your feedback. The idea is to see together if is worth enough
to include HTML_Container as a package by itself, or is better to include
some of its features as part of an already existing package, like
Structures_DataGrid.
