Due to a critical bug in PEAR 1.4.7 causing fatal errors for users who
have discovered channels with hyphens in their names
(pear.midcom-project.org, pear.symfony-project.com, etc.), PEAR 1.4.8
needs to be released as soon as possible.
As such, I have some fast testing requests for you all. Please grab
PEAR 1.4.8 from
http://pear.php.net/~greg/PEAR-1.4.8.tgz
and verify that it actually works for every command you commonly use,
and several uncommon ones.
Also, those on windows, please grab
http://pear.php.net/~greg/go-pear.phar and
verify that it works for you.
as more testing information becomes available, it will be posted here
and at:
http://pear.php.net/~greg
Thank you,
Greg
