Hi All,
I am currently looking into the Web Services Distributed Management
specifications (WSDM http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/wsdm/) to
use
with the Net_Monitor package for monitoring resources (a local database
connection for instance) using Web Services.
The WSDM specification often references other web service
specifications: Web Service Addressing (WS-Addressing), Web Services
Resource Framework (WS-RF) and more... Because WS-Addressing, WS-RF and
such could also be used by other web services specifications, I'm
wondering how all this should be organized in PEAR to minimize
redundancy and increase package interoperability.
Should PEAR also recommend a list of standardized prefix for namespaces,
such as always prefixing tagnames with "soap" for SOAP, "xs" for XML
Schema, "wsdl" for WSDL, "soap-env" for SOAP envelop, etc...? The
purpose would be to bring consistency so it is easier to read and
support XML-based packages.
Has anyone have any experience with these recent standards? Do any of
you have suggestions on implementing them within PEAR?
Thanks in advance for your input...
-Philippe
