I remember attending a talk by Damian Conway back in '01 (I think) about his
Parse::RecDescent package in CPAN [1][2]. That seems like one of the older
implementations (perhaps I am wrong and the Python one predates this one).
There is also a FAQ in [3] that talks something more about the peculiar
characteristics of this library.
Sebastian, have you looked at Conway's implementation?
If memory serves there is ANTLR and Coco/R (sp?) that are libs/apps to generate
recursive parsers.
