Hi,
The pattern in xml-schema 'package-2.0.xsd', doesn't allow the '-'
character in channel names, where this are allowed in an url. On the
other hand, it does allow '_' to be used, while this is an invalid
character in a domain name. For instance, "mylib.bean-it.nl", is seen as
an invalid channel by the xml validator.
I believe the pattern for element "channel" should be
"[A-Za-z][a-zA-Z0-9\-.]+".
<xs:element name="channel">
<xs:simpleType>
<xs:restriction base="xs:string">
<xs:pattern value="[A-Za-z][a-zA-Z0-9_.]+"/>
</xs:restriction>
</xs:simpleType>
</xs:element>
Also, I believe that release should be able to hold a "time" element,
because this can also be supplied for the current version in <package>.
<xs:element name="release" minOccurs="1"
maxOccurs="unbounded">
<xs:complexType>
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element ref="lead" minOccurs="0"
maxOccurs="unbounded"/>
<xs:element ref="developer" minOccurs="0"
maxOccurs="unbounded"/>
<xs:element ref="version"/>
<xs:element ref="stability"/>
<xs:element ref="date"/>
add-> <xs:element ref="time" minOccurs="0" />
<xs:element ref="license"/>
<xs:element ref="notes"/>
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:element>
Met vriendelijke groet,
